Day 9: Characters

 

Lord,

Thank You for the gift of writing. Thank You that I can express my thoughts and heart using words.

Help me to understand my characters. Help me to know what they need, want, and are capable of. Let me see You in my characters and help me to show You to my readers through my characters.

If there is a character that needs to die, give me the wisdom to let them go. If there is a character who needs to change, give the insight to know when and how they need to change. If there is a character I do not need in the story, give me the discernment to know who to take out. If there is a character I need in the story, give me the soundness of mind to put them in.

Lord, I pray that You are always the central character in my stories.

Remind me that You have given me this gift and Remind me that I am called to my characters to glorify You and edify the body.
