Lord,
Proverbs 3:6 says that if I acknowledge You in everything that I do, You will direct my paths.
I acknowledge You as the creator who created writers to share Your love with the world in writing. Thank You that You found me worthy to be one of those writers.
I acknowledge that You have given me a gift that I must steward and use for Your glory. I must not hide my talent and act as if You are a hard task master. I let the Light of Your Love shine in, through, and with my writing. I understand and accept my responsibility as a writer. I will not waste this great gift that You have given me.
As I write, please direct my hands to write what You would have me to write. As I revise, govern my eyes so that I may see what to add, rearrange, move, and substitute to make my writing better. As I edit, navigate my pen to see what changes I need to make and what errors I need to correct. As I publish, lead me to the right people and places that will help me publish my book. As I share my writings with the world, guide me to the right people, places, venues, and avenues to share my stories.
Be the Leader of my life, be the Head of my heart, be the Controller of my mind, be the Master of my pen, and the King of my stories. Be my teacher, my sovereign, my lord, my director to lead me where I need to go.
Lord, You have given me this gift. I am called to use it to glorify You and edify the body. Direct my path, so that I may do just that.
