I am behind with the actual prep for the novel. I am going back and finishing up some of the foundational work that I needed to do for the novel, like research and plotting.
Ugh. I sincerely hate that I have not been able to write or work on my novel. You can read all about that here in My Pandemic Writer's Story. If I can be honest, I have had to fight the urge to give up. Yet again, I want to quit. My only excuse is that I am not going to be ready for November.
But, I watched a video last night (Preptober Tips! | Do These 10 Things Before NaNowriMo) and in it, I was reminded to use NaNoWriMo for my purposes. So, I may not use it to write 50,000 words.
I need to get back into writing novels. That is a better goal for me, I think. I am still going to write, but I may use part of November to work out the kinks in my novel and the rest to write.
I keep reminding myself of my Word of the Year. I am RESILIENT!
