There is Creativity in Their Words

30 Day Journal Affirmation Challenge (Day 4) Response

Mary Lou Cook said, “Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.”

These words should ring true for every writer.  Being a writer is a creative endeavor because we have to take a thought from our head, turn it into a plausible story with a well-defined structure, and put it into words in a way that it will help and bless the most people possible.  If that is not inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun, then being a writer is not worth the time or the strain.

As writers, we pour out hearts out on a page.  Each writer does it in their own way with their own methodology.  To see a writer in action is a grand experience.  The way they use their hands to get the words on the page is unique.  The way they form images using words is amazing.  The way the moral of the story comes into view is brilliant.  It is indeed a creative moment for each writer.

Writing is a creative outlet that gives each writer freedom for an idea that has haunted them for some time.  It gives them a creative channel to vent their feelings and frustrations with the world and with life.  It gives them a creative conduit to share their experience and knowledge with people who are dealing with the same thing as they have gone through.  There is creativity in those words.

Creativity is for the writer, a means to create worlds, places, people, images, moments, events, and the like that we have never seem or experienced before.  But, the writer must be brave enough to put the words on a page, wrenching out their souls before the world.

With each word that the writer carefully selects to convey their point, they make the world better, brighter, and more entertaining.  With each place that the writer wisely crafts, they give the world new spaces to explore and visit.  With each topic that the writer strategically confronts, they give the world fresh perspectives to consider and investigate.

Each writer creates from their soul, forming thoughts, words, ideas, and pictures into coherent stories and texts to enhance the world.  They show their creativity with words.
