Discovering Your Writing Style Prompts

Every writer should learn their writing style.

You Probably Already Have Some Aspects of One

Here is the truth… You probably already have started to develop your writing style.  You more than likely unconsciously do things in your writing because you like it or you liked it in someone else’s writing.  But, you have some things that you like to do.

30 Day Journal Affirmation Challenge (What Is It?)

I believe in the power of affirmation.  Affirmations give us encouragement, inspiration, and motivation to do what we need to do.

The Psychology Today website says, "At the simplest level, when we feel good about ourselves and have a positive attitude, our lives tend to run smoothly. Proponents of the “law of attraction” often refer to this as raising our vibration such that when our vibration is positive, positive things—such as financial abundance, love, and renewed health—are magnetically drawn to us."

As a writer, I am often by myself with just my thoughts.  I need to keep myself motivated and encouraged in the moments when my inner critic and hater speaks negatively to me.

As the Psychology Today website says, "When we feel bad about ourselves and have a negative attitude, we tend to engage in self-defeating behaviors which may cause negative outcomes, like financial mishap, interpersonal drama, or acute or chronic illness."

So, to defeat a negative attitude, I use affirmations to help me.

The month of April (every year) will be a month I post affirmations and journaling prompts to help myself and other writers affirm, encourage, and learn about themselves, so that we can keep on writing and sharing our gift with the world.

Resources…

I am creating a Novel Writing Notebook.  It is a complete novel writing kit that will give novelists a way to keep their entire project together. It is a method that I use to keep my novel projects organized.

Until it is finished, I have a few of the sections I am creating for it available.  Check them out below.

Writer’s Resources

Please note that this is only a few of the sections that will be in the final version of the Novel Writing Notebook.

Is It All Out?

I think I may  have gotten all of the writing woes out from the Pandemic, Snowmaggedon, and 2020.  But perhaps not.  I do not know if I know when I will be able to tell.

I hope I can write this year.
